Everybody wants to be a professional blogger. Why? Probably because it is fun, and a great way to work at home and earn an income! But, how do you achieve the level of pro blogger? Here are a few simple steps to get you started.
1) First of all set up a blog. Companies like Wordpress and Blogspot offer free blog set up. They are user friendly and anybody can use them. You do not have to spend hours teaching yourself code or program. They are simple step set ups! I’ve used both for the past 5 years, and have never had a complaint, and that is saying a lot, because I have used many different blogs out there!
2) Find your “niche”. A niche is something that you enjoy talking about…that of course will be blogged about. You will need to generate content on an almost daily basis. You will be answer questions about the subject from your posters, suggesting links, etc. Basically you will create a hub of sorts that revolves around your niche. This niche may be something like hocky cards, home decor or cooking with white wine-whatever it is, make sure you LOVE the subject at hand. If you burn out on your niche, you will lose readers, and eventually your blog will “sink” so to speak.
3) Once you have created enough content for interest, start advertising your blog. Share your blog address on faceboook-join groups that are related to your blog! Share it on MySpace, E-mail, etc. There are so many ways to get your “blog out there” so to speak. It is such a fun way to work at home and write about something that you love. Eventually you will have many followers and blog fans. In turn these people will help spread the word about your blog.
4) A big reason that bloggers fail is that once they get followers, they start to slack off. I’m speaking from personal experience here. You have to constantly keep your blog updated with new information. Try out fun ways to draw new readers! Share information and tutorials. Teach people about your content. Always stay ahead of the next person in the field you blog about.
5) Once you have your base set up for an amazing blog, be sure to monetize your blog. This is a big key to success with your work at home blog income. Set up a Google AdSense account. Study information on how to set it up properly and effectively. If you do enough research you will find ample information on making money through AdSense. Make sure you learn about how to monetize your website correctly…this is another subject you can easily find loads of information by doing on-line searches.
Keep these 5 steps in mind as you learn to make an income through your work at home blogging experience. It will start slowly! It will take a lot of time and diligence. But if you are serious about blogging, and you take all the neccessary steps to be successful, I believe you will eventually enjoy your life as a professional blogger.
