Whew, it’s been crazy around here! Some bad, some good. I took some temporary work freelancing articles for my work at home business. A bit unnerving, but exciting! After all I should be walking my talk right? I’ve done this before and enjoyed it in the past. Now I only want to better my writing skills and learn from others! Honest (but kind) criticism can go a long way! Growing up, my parents were my best critiques. Now I have others in my life that are willing to do that as well.
One of the best ways I’ve learned to improve my writing, is reading other great authors. I love finding inspiration from others who have done the same work before. So much can be learned from pro’s! Even better when you can find someone who wants to help you out. Mentors have been an amazing route in learning the first baby steps of a work at home job. I honestly would not have made it this far if it wasn’t for others who were willing to help me along the way. Perhaps that’s why I started sharing work at home tips and advice…I want to do the same for others! I do believe that a helping hand goes a long way. Who’s with me on that?
Right now, I need to make a list to follow regarding my writing and blogging for the upcoming week! So here’s a peek at to what I expect from myself…
1)Write 2 articles for my Work At Home website before Sunday. Have them ready to go and uploaded before church! (no pressure, right?)
2)Write 2 articles relating to my freelance job. Have them done by tomorrow night. Copy and past to word document and have them e-mailed no later than midnight. (i’m so kind to myself! HA!)
3)Update blogger with scheduled posts! Remember to add your website announcement as well. Update links and header to freshen up your page. (looks like I have a theme going on…hmm…)
4)Update your social networking projects: Twitter, Facebook and MySpace. (i do believe that social networks bring traffic…IMHO)
5)Submit blog to catalog sites. Find new ways to create links and build more traffic. (insert witty comment here)
6)As always, meet new bloggers! (I love this aspect of networking!)
7)Study Keywords, and find a keyword to target. Write an article and set up a new link regarding the keyword. (this makes for great practice)
8)Find a Starbucks fast. Drink a Venti Pumpkin Spice for inspiration. It’s a must need. (don’t believe me? give it a whirl…)
With this list, I have a lot of work to do! But as always, it helps me keep focused on my work. I wonder if keeping a list of housework goals would help me out with laudry and dishes? I really do write myself lists for housework.
Speaking of all these lists, maybe I should rename my site, The List Guru instead of Work At Home Market…just kidding!
Alright, my lists are calling be name. Time to get to work!
