What inspired you to work from home?
It was only weeks before my wedding and my goal was to have a family right after our wedding, so I saw a path and jumped on it! I knew I wanted to be a mom and be home for my baby.

What is the highlight of your work at home career?

Careful planning, goal setting and learning what you need to make your dreams come true!

I’ve gone from scraping pennies to making nice pay checks. But, the best part of it all? I’m living a life of freedom and success that I always dreamed of. No more alarm clocks, boring office atmospheres or cranky bosses. I work from home! This means, I Set my own schedule, choose my work and pursue things that make me happy.

The three ingredients that have helped me get to this point have been the following:

Careful, tedious and back breaking PLANNING>>>>>>>>>

Last year, I was juggling multiple clients, a part time job, freelance work along with my day to day house work. To say I was exhausted would be an understatement. Thankfully, the hard work paid off and I was able to take the month of December off (with the blessing of my husband!), and slowly fade out of so many outlets. And to this day, I focus on three specific areas that make me happy. It took very careful planning: I had to save up enough money to make it work, create a game plan and stick to my guns when it came to my dreams.

Serious, “in your face” goal setting with NO APOLOGIES>>>>>>>>>

The biggest obstacle that most of us face, is ourselves. It is easy to get bogged down, discouraged or even feeling guilty over your dreams. The thing is, you have to set goals for yourself. Tough, painful goals that will help you get to the level of “freedom and success”. Learn to set goals for yourself and don’t make any apologies. You know what you want, what you need to do. Now, you have to go all out for it!

Know what you need, when you need it and WHEN TO GET IT>>>>>>>>>>

Another aspect of gaining momentum for your work at home dreams, is knowing what you need, when you need it and how to get it. For example, do you need to have an area set aside just for your work? Need to have a rigid schedule in place? Outline your weakest links and work to plug them up. If you need to hire someone to coach you in this area, then do it. It’s vital to take care of your most basic needs in the work at home field, so you can achieve great levels of success!!!

3) Get Advice and Accountability

Have someone ask you about your income goals and your short term goal, is a powerful way to stay motivated. Motivation is what drives each of us to the point of success. Ask questions, get answers. Have a team that surrounds you with support, whether it is your close friends or family. With this kind of networking, you will continually be pushing yourself to earn the income you want.

1 teaspoon all natural cocoa powder

2) Always Take Pictures of Your Items: When selling online, pictures are a huge asset. Without it, you will be less likely to sell!

3) Try To Set Prices Lower Than The Rest: This will give you a lead on other buyers!

4) Be Precise With Information: Give details on size, style, name brand, any issues, etc. Honesty is always the best policy!

5) Have Clear Contact Information: Some third parties will allow you to share contact info, that way interested buyers can get additional information.

6) Choose The Best Site To Sell: There are dozens of web sites where you can sell. Just make sure you choose the best option for your needs!

7) Create Web Pages with Larger Items: Trying to sell your home? Couch set? Take front, back and size images with different views, with detailed information on the web page.

Be Willing to Take Less: Don’t set your items at rock bottom prices. Set the prices a little above your lowest amount you will take to allow “wiggle room”. It helps!

9) Get A Secondary Opinion: Before you list the item, you may want to get a secondary opinion on its condition/worth.

10) Follow Up: Always follow up with items with a simple ‘Thank you”. It goes a long way!
