You can make money by buying and reselling items online. It’s a tricky business, because you need to learn what sells and what doesn’t. You will have to find deals on items so that you can actually make a profit. However, many people use this route as a means to make a side income. Some people have found a particular niche and have literally made a career out of it. Here are a few ideas:
- Find name brand clothes for dirt cheap at thrift stores & yard sales. Misses, Jr., Children’s will more than likely be your best seller. I’ve heard stories of women finding name brand clothing that are in mint condition and starting their own resale shops that are online based only. This will take a lot of creativity and sleuthing, but it’s a good way to make some fast cash.
- Attend auctions to find big selling items such as wedding gowns, prom dresses, artwork, antiques, etc. These items can be placed online for sell as well. For antique items you can sell them on Etsy. Other items such as wedding gowns & prom dresses can be sold on related websites or even sites such as Amazon or Ebay.
- Whenever you buy something for your own home, cycle something out. If it’s of value, then sell it. You can do some research to find out what the going price is an sell it on Craig List or Amazon. Better yet, host a giant yard sale and use the money for your savings. Or reinvest it in other items that you know will sell well.
- Another idea is to sign up through a third party company that will allow you to work online rather in person. Many third party companies will allow you to host a web site and conduct all of your business through e-mail or phone. It can be a great side gig or full time income.
