Another great opportunity to work at home to earn an income is through freelance writing. I stumbled on this by accident. But, when I got my first check in the mail, I knew I was on to something good!
I was busy blogging my life away, enjoy each new adventure that blogs have the tendency to bring along. (keep in mind I’ve had roughly 12 blogs in my lifetime). I started getting contacted by companies to write for them. They gave me options, what they were looking for and how much they were willing to pay. I liked it, and said okay. A few weeks later, I had a nice check and big smile on my face.
Sound cheesy? Perhaps, but hey, it works. It’s a simple and easy to way work at home and earn income.
First you do need a blog or website where you document your articles. Spend time thinking of great content. Write about things you love. Write about things you hate. Regardless, make sure your writing is passionate. Companies that are looking for freelance writers will see that you convey a great message. This will up your chances of getting picked to do freelance work.
It is a good idea to show your work to a few close friends or family to critique your work. Ask them to be honest. And make sure you are thick skinned when they do offer constructive criticism.
Once you have a blog or website set up with a articles, you are on your way. Be sure to set up easy access to your contact information. You may want to set up a blurb on your website sharing your willingness to write reviews or articles for other companies.
Don’t expect to be a millionaire overnight. But once you get started other companies will take notice of your work.
This is just another great example of how you can work at home and make money on-line. People will often tell you that this route is a waste of time. But, you can be sure to show them your checks when you start making money.
